Reform Members update

 Guys,

Here is an update from Reform UK

Another tumultuous week for Reform UK!

Every single day this week, we have been making headlines and setting the political agenda.

As I write this, the Labour Party conference - which resembles a funeral wake - has limped into existence. First out of the traps this morning was the Prime Minister, doing the morning media round and - I can hardly believe I am writing this - claiming that Reform UK’s policy of putting British people first and scrapping Indefinite Leave to Remain is ‘racist’ and ‘immoral’.

Resorting to such dog whistle soundbites shows just how low Labour has sunk, quite how worried the Labour backbenchers are, and how Keir Starmer’s leadership is on borrowed time.

Now, let’s rewind to Monday morning, when we kicked off the week with another major press conference – this time to unveil our new immigration policy plan,Prioritising UK Citizens. Nigel Farage, alongside our newly appointed Head of Policy, Zia Yusuf, revealed Reform’s plans to reverse the Boriswave of low-skilled immigration and finally put British people first by scrapping Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR).

During Boris Johnson’s time in office, 3.8 million people entered the UK, 60% of whom were low-skilled, 50% of whom are not in work, and many of whom do not even have a good grasp of English.

Nigel poignantly stated at the conference that this is“the biggest betrayal of voters' trust in modern times.”Reform’s answer is clear: ban benefits for migrants and scrap ILR, replacing it with a five-year renewable visa. Zia Yusuf explained that we’ll“introduce an English test, higher salary thresholds, and a welfare ban.” Under a Reform Government, as Nigel stated,“welfare will be for UK citizens only.”

When you dig into the numbers, 800,000 people who have come to this country will soon be eligible for ILR, with a total number on the path to ILR estimated to be around two million. This has placed an enormous burden on British taxpayers and is prioritising low-skilled migrants ahead of hard-working UK citizens. At the moment, 1 in 6 people on Universal Credit are foreign nationals.

The implementation of this policy would save the British taxpayer an estimated £230 billion. And crucially, only UK citizens will get benefits such as Universal Credit or access to the NHS. A Reform UK Government will ensure that British citizens truly come first.

Later that day, I appeared on the BBC’sPolitics Liveshow to discuss our policy launch. On the programme, I made it crystal clear that I want British people to do British jobs and that I want our welfare system to actually serve British citizens, not the rest of the world!

You can see what I had to say by clicking the image below!

The latest polling reflects our astonishing rise in all parts of the country.

We are now polling at 33% nationally, and this translates into Reform UK garnering 373 Parliamentary seats, giving us a majority of 48 seats.

Look at this extraordinary graphic!

This is what today’s Sunday Times says about the poll:

And to rub salt into the wounds, anew poll by Ipsos forThe Telegraphhas found that Sir Keir Starmer is now the most unpopular prime minister since it began measuring approval ratings in 1977. Ms Reeves is the least popular Chancellor.

Labour’s polling is now the lowest Ipsos has recorded for Labour since 2009, the year before Gordon Brown led the party to defeat and a 14-year absence from power.

And it gets better – in some parts of the country, our momentum is even stronger as we are polling at an astonishing 40%! Just look at the latest North East England General Election poll:

➡️ REF – 40% / 27 seats (+27)

🔴 LAB – 27% / 0 seats (-26)

🔵 CON – 14% / 0 seats (-1)

🟢 GRN – 10% / 0 seats (-)

🟠 LD – 6% / 0 seats (-)

These sorts of seat projections truly capture the unprecedented progress that we are making. By the next General Election, which could come much sooner than we expect, I think it’s fair to say that Britain will be looking out onto a sea of turquoise across the map.

On Tuesday evening, I then joined the panel on Iain Dale’s LBC radio show alongside Liberal Democrat MP Munira Wilson,Daily TelegraphAssistant Comment Editor Poppy Coburn, and Labour MP Stella Creasy. It was a lively and fiery debate to say the least.

On Wednesday, we celebrated a fantastic mid-week by-election victory, this time in Norfolk. In a Labour-held seat, Reform UK surged to win Breckland Council’s Thetford Castle ward with an incredible 47.3% of the vote. Take a look at the results below:

REFORM GAIN: Breckland - Thetford Castle

Reform - 512

Lab - 289

Con - 164

Libs - 118

On Thursday morning, Nigel and Richard met with the Governor of the Bank of England, Andrew Bailey, to raise serious concerns about Quantitative Easing, a policy that has led to multi-billion pound losses for taxpayers. They are now demanding an urgent debate in Parliament to hold the Government and the Bank to account.

Then, just when you thought the government couldn’t be more out of touch with public sentiment, Starmer tried to get on the front foot by announcing Labour’s plan to roll out digital ID cards, supposedly to tackle illegal immigration!

In reality, as Nigel put it, this is nothing less than“a means of controlling the population, of telling us what we can and can’t do, and of fining the innocent.”

This scheme is a clear assault on our privacy and liberties, and we, at Reform UK, will never accept a government that thinks it has the right to track what we do, where we go, or how we spend our money. It’s a slippery slope towards total control, and we are drawing the line.

I encourage you all to sign the petition below and help show just how many of us are ready to say enough is enough.

That evening, I then travelled to Essex to speak at an exciting, sell-out event in Grays. Huge thanks to Sophie Preston-Hall, Chair of our Thurrock branch, for organising the evening so superbly and to the brilliant team who worked tirelessly to make it such a success.

The room was packed with enthusiastic local members, and we even had a couple of surprise guest speakers, including the legendary Jim Davidson, who entertained the crowd masterfully. After my speech, there was a lively Q&A, followed by fantastic live music from a Chas & Dave tribute band! The atmosphere was electric, and the feedback has been overwhelming.

It is always such a pleasure to attend these events across the country, as it really reminds me of the passion, energy, and dedication that is driving Reform forward.

To end the week on a real high, I am thrilled to say that we have officially reached a staggering 250,000 paid-up members as of Friday! Just 15 months ago, we had 30,000 members. Yet, thanks to your support, Reform UK is now one of the biggest political parties in Europe and is still growing at an extraordinary rate. We have already overtaken the Tories, and soon we will overtake the Labour Party’s membership at 309,000!

To mark this incredible milestone, Nigel has brought back a limited number of Reform FC shirts for our supporters with a special 10% discount code:CELEBRATE250. Click the link below to grab yours while stocks last:

I think you’ll agree that it’s been one heck of a week. With that, I’m off to watch the Labour Party conference or, rather, watch paint dry! I’m not sure which is more entertaining…

Have a lovely rest of your Sunday,

Yours sincerely,

Dr David Bull
